For a delectable dessert experience, take a trip to the Fudge Factory, located on Front Street in historic Beaufort.  Their master artisans continue to make these delicious treats by hand – cooked in a giant copper pot and hand-formed on a large marble table.  Customers are free to watch this timeless labor while perusing the fine selection of chocolate, vanilla, maple, peanut butter, and much more.  Since their customers always keep coming back for more, the Fudge Factory also has an online shop, showcasing their fudge as well as homemade sugar-free candies.

No trip to Beaufort is complete without a visit to The General Store.  This timeless storefront brings to mind the rich small-town sensibility, operating from an historic home with a front porch overlooking Front Street.  The General Store vends a wide variety of local souvenirs and trinkets, perfect for accessorizing memories of family trips to Beaufort.  They also have an extensive selection of ice creams, rock candies, and saltwater taffy in an assortment of unique flavors. A cone or cup of their ice cream is a delicious and ideal compliment to a warm summer stroll across the waterfront.
